The Online Golf Tour is open to Clubhouses with at least 8 members.
The Primary Golf Gaming Platform for the LS OGT Tour are Links LS 2000/2001.The Regular Tourney Rounds will be played
using a Free for All format. Each team may play any other team (a maximum of 15
games shall be played against any one team) It is critical that your members
report matches immediately after they complete their matches and the team
scorecard be updated DAILY! A win is worth 5 points. A tie is worth 3 points. A
loss is worth 1 point.
The Clubhouse that has the most Points for that Tourney Round, wins the Round and is the Champion for that Round.
All games played by players belonging to more than 1 OGT member Clubhouse will be considered FORFEITED! This means the Clubhouses using the double-clubhousing player will be fined 20 points (At discretion of OGT) for each game played!! It is the responsibility of Team Captains to know who their players are, and what they are doing! The OGT is taking this drastic action because this practice defeats the whole purpose of the OGT which is Tourneys between Clubhouses whose members are playing for their Clubhouse, and not just for themselves! There are several Golf Associations offering Tourneys for Individual players!!
* No member of any team participating in the OGT is allowed to have more than ONE name(nickname). If a player is caught using two or more names while playing on the same team, all the matches played under those names will become forfeits. Also the total points accumulated by the player will be deducted from the team point total for that round. Repeated violations of this rule will result in the player or team being banned from participation in the OGT.
Drop Rule: You are allowed to drop in a straight line back from where the ball entered the hazard. There is no limit on the distance you can drop back, but it must not be to either side, and only in a line straight back from where the ball entered the hazard. You are allowed to drop all the way back to the Tee box or spot the ball was originally hit from if necessary.
Fast Play is allowed in the OGT but it is not encouraged. If there are any disputes or disagreements that occurred during a Fast Play match that can not be settled between the players, the match will be declared NULL and VOID.
CHIPPING on the GREEN is forbidden unless there is fringe, fairway, sand trap, or other obstacle which obstructs the path to the hole. The Player who flagrantly abuses any of these rules will have the game FORFEITED to the other player, and his/her Clubhouse will also be fined -20 points (At discretion of OGT) for each game FORFEITED.
Any and all rules violations will be settled by OGT Directors and the Clubhouse Captains.
To avoid confusion all games in each Regular Tourney Round will be 9 Holes, either Stroke, Match, Hogan, or Stableford. (There is currently New Mops being discussed by the Team Captains) The type of game to be played, conditions, and the course where each Tourney Round will be played will be posted on the Regular Tourney Lineups page before the start of that Tourney Round.
TBB matches when using the Hogan and Stableford MOP's will be played as follows. 2 Players from Team A play against 2 Players from Team B. There is currently a TBB mop for Hogan and Stableford. The team with the highest point value wins the match and the game is reported as 2 wins for the highest team and 2 losses for the loosing team. When we use the Stroke and Match MOP's and you want to play TBB you may choose any of the TBB MOP's for match and stroke play. You may not use TBB Stroke or Match when we use the Hogan and Stableford MOP's.
We will only count Regular Tourney Games towards the Team Totals.
The Regular Tourney Scoreboard will show how many POINTS have been awarded to each Clubhouse in each Tourney Round and also so far in that specific Online Golf Tour, the total number of games WON, LOST,TIED and of course the Clubhouse's overall RANKING in the OGT.
Ties are allowed. Sudden death is not to be played.
If 2 or more Clubhouses Tie for the Title of ~§ OGT LS Clubhouse Champion §~
the Captains from
each of the Clubhouses will play a Sudden Death Playoff together starting on the
10th hole. The first Captain to Win a hole wins the Title for his/her Clubhouse!
The Mandatory Game Settings are:
Mulligans = YES
(Only when Resuming a Dropped
Game!)
Gimmies = Yes (2 feet)
Level = Pro
Tee = Champ
Play out Holes = NO or YES
Play out Round = NO or YES.
TBB Option: Alternating Shots = YES!
There is NO limit as to how many times the same player can play in any one Regular Tourney Round.
The OGT is interested in how you choose to manage your Clubhouse. We feel that for the OGT to be strong, the Clubhouses involved must also be strong. We will not tolerate Clubs that do not play their matches. Each team will be required to average of 15 - 20 games per round minimum. Failure to do so for 2 consecutive Rounds will result in that team being put on notice. If it continues for 3 consecutive Rounds that team will be asked to leave the OGT.
Clubhouses are held accountable for the actions of their members! Harassing another player, using foul language, not responding to an ICQ request, ignoring or refusing a request to play a game when in the Zone for no valid reason, and quitting a game for no valid reason are all considered serious offenses. If this happens to you or any of your members please report this to the OGT. Once the OGT gets several complaints concerning one individual or Clubhouse the OGT will take action (Ask the Clubhouse to get rid of the member/s in question or take their Clubhouse out of the OGT).
All scores
are reported through the automated report system which will tally the results
and display a current point total.
Scores will be compared, and if there are any discrepancies that would change a
Win to a Loss, and that can not be resolved within 24 hours then that game would
be declared null and void.
Games are
FORFEITED when one of the players leaves the game before it has finished with NO
valid reason, and makes no effort within 30 minutes to reschedule the game for a
later date. No Clubhouse can tell it's members not to play any member of a
Clubhouse with which they are matched up with, even if the person in question is
a pain in the butt! The OGT is an Open Tourney where any member can play any
member from the other Clubhouse it is schedules against without any Exceptions!
The only Valid reason to refuse a request to play a OGT game would be that they
are waiting to play a game in another Tourney (Master's, FFA or.......).
This does not include:
Ladder Games or In House Tourneys.
You think the guy/gal asking is a jerk.
You think the guy/gal asking is going to take you to the cleaners.
A member of a Clubhouse whose request to play a game was denied for no valid
reason can request to the OGT via their Team Captain/s that the unplayed game be
FORFEITED to them! For a player to quit during a game, or a Clubhouse to quit
during a Tourney Round is considered very unsportsman like behavior, and it
would be greatly appreciated that if a player/Clubhouse must quit they do so at
the end of the game or Tourney Round! PLEASE!!:-) FORFEITS must be requested,
they are not granted automatically.
Dropped games due to technical screw-ups resume at the Hole where they were dropped. This is the Only Time where Mulligans can be used! The Mulligans are used so that the Players can get their balls back to the approximate position they were at when the game was dropped!
OGT members who wish to submit a requested change to the Rules, and Format of the OGT can do so in the form of an E-mail to the OGT, and all Team Captains! Whether these requested changes are accepted or rejected would then be be decided upon by the Director of the OGT after he had first consulted with all the Team Captains of OGT member Clubhouses.
The Clubhouse with the most Points WINS the TOUR, and is awarded the Title of ~§ OGT LS CLUBHOUSE GRAND CHAMPION §~ a title it holds until the end of the next Tour.
